About the Role
A Kitchen Steward is a key component to every restaurant operation and is the main support for the whole team for both the dining room & kitchen. Kitchen stewards are responsible for, but not limited to, washing China glass, beverage glasses, stem ware, silverware, pots, pans, tools, restaurant sanitation, & disposal of trash or recycling. This position can be a good entry level job that teaches you the fundamentals of working in a kitchen, importance of quality work, and prepare for other roles in our restaurant. Ultimately, you will ensure our daily operations runs clean, sanitary, & dining/kitchen wares are available for service.

Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years old.
Food Safety Training Card issued by the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD).
Previous knowledge or experience working a 3-part sink system is a plus.
Previous knowledge or experience working double dish rack dishwashing machine is a plus.
Upbeat Positive attitude and natural social skills.
Great and effective communication abilities.
Must have a keen eye for details (360-degree vision).
Schedule flexibility is a plus.
Ability to walk and stand for up to 8 hours at a time.
Ability to lift to 35-50 pounds.
Must be able to multi-task effectively while maintaining composure.
Availability to work evenings and on weekends, including holidays.
Must show and maintain a neat and clean appearance, following company guidelines.
Excellent organizational skills and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
Attending pre-shift and general meetings to be up to date on day-to-day changes and topics of importance for the day.
Must remain focused and on task throughout the entire shift.
Setting up the dish room.
Filling up 3-part sink with soaking detergent, rinsing, & sanitizer water.
Filling up soak bins for silverware, ramekins, & a separate bin to collect steak knives.
Fill up the dish machine tank and prime the detergent lines.
Set up the glassware racks on the landings above dish landing.
Maintain trash cans throughout service taking them out to the dumpster as needed.
Flatten & tie down all cardboard boxes to take to the recycling bin.
Clean out the dish machine at the end of the night.
Unload & stock deliveries of detergents, cleaning supplies, and disposable goods.
Clean floor & floor drains every night.
Wash out trash cans & replace with new trash bags tied to in the bin.
Clean out sinks & sink drains.
Wash floor mats every night.
Clean walls, base boards, & doors.
Ensure our restaurant is clean and up to our standards before, throughout and after the shift.
Maintain a clean overall appearance of our kitchen, including but not limited to, dish room, prep room, team restroom, hot/cold line, pathways, back restaurant area, etc.
Assist server assistants/bussers with clearing plates, stocking CG&S, trash/breaking down boxes, & keeping the floors clean.
